THE OOHLAS - TRIPPED

“Keep drinking darkness you stupid prick"

The Oohlas are a massively blogged-about group that combine interesting elements of pop, rock and roots music. There's something very immediate and catchy about their songs, yet they don't really fit into a neat musical box. Tripped starts with a chugging beat, gorgeous vocals from Ollie Tamale (could there be a better name?), and a strangely addictive middle section that's completely different from the rest of the track. It's a great driving song, especially if you live in an eternally sunny place like Southern California, where these guys are from.
