The Ark are going to Eurovision!!!!

The guys won both the judge's and the popular vote, and I wish them nothing but the best in Helsinki. This has been my first Melodifestivalen, and it's been a ton of fun!

You actually went LIVE? You lucky dog! This is the same poster that mentioned the collection of all the tracks I had compiled. Congrats to the Ark, but I didn't think they would really win since they are 'already' established. I'm dl'ing the final mpg now. Did you pick up the MF studio double CD? If not, check your mail...

Oh, I wish! I just meant that it was my first time following Melodifestivalen in detail.

And I do have the Melodifestivalen cd, and it is glorious!

I thought you may---I was going to send you the songs as mentioned but I realized they were just TV rips and sound was all over the place. Studio versions sound much better :)

How DO you know so much Scandinavia happenings living in Washington?

Why no love for Marit Bergman on the blog? :) Just another great pop Swede, but she has a bit of an alternative bite. Also, have you heard of: Hanna Pakarinen, the Finnish Idol or LazyBoy from Denmark (part of which used to be Aqua)...and their awesome rap-speak dance album?

Finally, I love what I've been able to hear of Don Juan Dracula--have you gotten the 10 emails yet? Any more links possible?

It's just a passion of mine. I've been to Sweden a few times and all my favorite bands are from there, so I keep up on it the best I can.

As for Marit... don't worry. I know of her and she's brilliant. She's gotten a lot of blog love and I try to stick to lesser talked about artists (most of the time) so that's why there haven't been any posts.

Finally... the DJD thing. Email me and I'll see what I can do.

I can't help think that The Worrying Kind is not a great song by The Ark, and they're capable of better. Also 'worrying' is not a very Eurovision emotion. But they perform it well and it's catchy so here's hoping they'll do well.
