Bloom - Everyday

"How do you feel?"

I've got some catchy Swedish pop for you today. Bloom are not really well known and, actually, their album's a bit iffy, but Everyday is so damn catchy and soaring that you almost can't help but like it, even if everything inside of you is telling you to run away. The song is poppy to the point of being a bit saccharine, but it's got enough of a rock edge to make it very radio friendly as well. The closest comparison I can give you is Lambretta, the band that Linda Sundblad used to front before she went solo. Strangely enough, Bloom have seemed to disappear off of the face of the earth. No website, no touring... nothing, really.

Awesome song - pop rock, but not too bubblegum.

I've recently downloaded the The Ark album, and I must say ... if only we had more of this music in Canada. I would like to order the import, but it's probably gonna be pretty expensive.

Thanks again!

Oh, probably not too bad. You're gonna find that any Scandinavian cd is going to run in the 20-30$ range just because cds are very expensive there, but cd wow offers it for comparitavely cheap and eliminates the high shipping cost. Try them, or if you want it a lot faster (but more expensive) try bengans.se

Nick...speaking of the Ark, have you heard their offshoot musical group 'The Guild' (also with members of Empire Dogs)? It sounds like CCR on steroids--love it :)
