The Ark - Have You Ever Heard A Song
The Ark premiered a new song from their upcoming album today on Swedish program Dom Kallar Oss Artister (They Call Us Artists - I translated that myself, aren't you proud?), a gorgeous ballad called Have You Ever Heard A Song. What a stirring album closer this would be! It reminds me of some of the great ballads on their first two albums.
And, on a related note, I'm not sure if Ola's ever looked or sounded better.
Also, if you want to hear short clips of two other unfinished songs, the documentary streams here. I recommend the part where Ola conducts the symphony with a french fry. His face cracks me up.

Wow, Ola looks like he just climbed out of a rejuvenation tank. Looks like he is 20. Mixed feelings about the song. Have to listen a few more times.
I know, right? I thought at first that this was some sort of flashback to the beginning of their career. It's so weird to see him with short hair again!
I've gotta admit that from the clips, I'm a little worried that they've been influenced too much by Jesus Christ Superstar and we won't hear that classic Ark sound. But, we'll see how it turns out. This track is very pretty and very them, but I can't wait to hear some big, bombastic rock as well.
Yes, I do hope for some bombastic rock on the album. I watched the docu stream. Thanks for the link. You saved me time searching for it. Ola is so funny. I really liked both of the songs they played, especially fond of STAY WITH ME. Very niiice.
that's what you would call achingly beautiful - i love that type of ballad. totally down to you i got into the ark and i don't see that stopping now. Ola looks wonderful, sounds great.
I'm surprisingly fond of it, especially considered my mixed feelings towards the band lately. It sounds a little like "This Sad Bouquet" to me, yet a little more uptempo and actually better. Now I'm really looking forward to the album :)
Wow, so beautiful! This is what I'd call a real masterpiece!
The singer looks young indeed. Can't believe he is over 20! This song is a really good one. Lyrics are in the focus which is a good thing.
I'm too excited for the album now, I don't know what to do with myself.
Question for anyone: Can you hear the lyrics in the last verse, "I believe in simple happiness, and I believe in ...?
I'm so happy to see all the Ark love in these comments! I thought we'd get an album announcement last month but I guess not. I am waiting patiently (though getting less patient each day).
Walter... not only is he over 20, but he's over 30! Wouldn't know it from that video.
And Julisa: I'm hearing the line as - "I believe in avoiding waste"
This song just gave me goosebumps. What a brilliant taster for the Album. And Ola sounds better than ever
