NONONO - Pumping Blood

"This is your heart, it's alive"

Sometimes you can just tell on a song's first listen. This new track by Swedish trio NONONO is stunning (and seemingly came out of nowhere). It has that kind of surging, rollicking sound to it that is a hallmark of all of the music that I love. I don't even know how to explain it beyond the fact that it sounds like barreling down the road in a convertible with your hands in the air. The song goes somewhere, as all the best ones do. This is by far the most "pop" the band have sounded, but go to their soundcloud page and listen to the previous pair of tracks, because they're also quite good. Sweden, and more generally Scandinavia, is representing this year!
